Standards Against Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE)

    Last Updated: October 2025

At Zawaj Match, our commitment to upholding Islamic values goes hand-in-hand with our zero-tolerance policy regarding the safety of minors. We are dedicated to creating a secure digital environment free from harm, exploitation, and abuse.

This document outlines our public standards and strict policies against Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE) in compliance with global safety regulations, Google Play policies, and ethical imperatives.

    1. Zero Tolerance Policy

Zawaj Match strictly prohibits any content or behavior that promotes, generates, distributes, or facilitates Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM). This includes, but is not limited to:

    • Depiction of Minors: Any imagery, video, or text depicting sexual acts involving minors or portraying minors in a sexualized manner.
    • Grooming: Any attempt by an adult to build a relationship with a minor for the purpose of sexual abuse, exploitation, or trafficking.
    • Sexualization of Minors: Any content that promotes the sexualization of children, regardless of context.

Any user found violating these standards will be permanently banned immediately, and relevant data will be reported to legal authorities and the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC).

    2. User Verification & Age Restrictions

Prevention starts with strict access control. Our platform is designed exclusively for adults seeking lawful marriage.

    • Minimum Age Requirement: You must be at least 18 years old to create an account on Zawaj Match.
    • Identity Verification: We employ rigorous verification methods to confirm the age and identity of our users to prevent minors from accessing the platform.
    • Wali Involvement: For users requiring a guardian, we verify Wali contact details to ensure legitimate family involvement, adding an extra layer of community oversight.

    3. Detection & Reporting Mechanisms

We utilize a combination of automated technology and human moderation to detect and remove violative content.

    A. Automated Screening

Our systems proactively scan profile images and text descriptions for indicators of CSAE or inappropriate content involving minors before they are published.

    B. Human Moderation

A dedicated safety team reviews flagged content and reports 24/7. Any content suspected of involving a minor is escalated immediately for high-priority review.

    C. User Reporting

We empower our community to help keep the platform safe. Users can report suspicious profiles or behavior directly through the app via the "Report User" function. All reports regarding minors are treated with the highest urgency.

    4. Cooperation with Law Enforcement

In the event that CSAE content is detected on our platform:

    • Preservation of Evidence: We will preserve all relevant data, including IP addresses, timestamps, and chat logs.
    • Mandatory Reporting: We will report the incident to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) via their CyberTipline and cooperate fully with local law enforcement agencies.
